Data credits and licences

Every track is built from data that other people collected. Here is where it comes from and what its licence asks.

Roads, buildings, land use© OpenStreetMap contributors, under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Tracks you share must keep the credit. openstreetmap.org/copyright
Elevation and lidarUSGS 3D Elevation Program (3DEP). US public domain.
Aerial photosUSDA National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP), via USGS. US public domain.
County photosWhere a county publishes sharper aerial photography with open terms, the build report names the county, the flight year and its terms.
Surface texturesambientCG and Poly Haven, CC0 (public domain).

The credits file

Each built track contains a credits.txt with the exact sources and dates used for that track. If you share the track, keep that file in it.

Map corrections

OpenStreetMap is built by volunteers. If something is wrong in your area, you can fix it at openstreetmap.org; your next build picks up the change.
